Doctoral students and graduate students who pursue Master’s degrees with the thesis or practicum option are expected to conduct research leading to scholarly products. The research is generally conducted in collaboration with and under the supervision of a faculty member. Louisiana Tech encourages dissemination of graduate research using all mechanisms available, ranging from traditional outlets such as conference presentations, conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed publications, but also media interviews, video presentations, and “social media” designed for research dissemination such as ResearchGate. Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations are also published on the University’s Digital Commons Institutional Repository
