Center for Applied Physics Studies (CAPS)
The faculty in CAPS participate in international research collaborations at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory, as well as various projects with other centers and institutes at Louisiana Tech.
Center for Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation Science (CBERS)
CBERS conducts research and provides services to address medical and rehabilitation needs. Particular research focus areas are neural science and engineering, signal processing, computer modeling and neural networks, biosensus and bionanotechnology, drug delivery, tissue engineering, and cancer detection.
Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology (CEnIT)
CEnIT connects the talents and resources of the College of Engineering and Science with the College of Business to advance research, innovation, entrepreneurial education, and technology commercialization.
Institute for Micromanufacturing (IfM)
The lfM focuses on the creation of structures, devices, or systems with feature sizes on the order of nanometers and micrometers to include design, fabrication, inspection, testing, assembly, and packaging of these very small devices. Applications include national security, energy systems, sustainability, and healthcare.
Trenchless Technology Center (TTC)
The TTC is involved in a wide range of collaborative efforts with industry partners, other academic institutions, professional organizations and government entities. The center has numerous projects associated with the research, evaluation, modeling, and development of technology for the installation and rehabilitation of underground utilities.
Science and Technology Education Center (SciTEC)
The Science and Technology Education Center (SciTEC) was established by the College of Education to serve as an umbrella for a number of educational initiatives including the UTech Teach and Noyce Scholars, the NASA Education Resource Center, the IDEA Place (discovery museum), the Professional Development Program for Teachers and other outreach and development services.
Professional Development and Research Institute on Blindness (PDRIB)
The overall goals of the Institute are to advance the blindness field by providing the blind and professionals serving the blind with innovative programs, and to conduct meaningful research that will empower blind people to live independent and productive lives.
Center for Rural Development (CRD)
The Center for Rural Development provides a linkage between rural residents in Louisiana and experts at Louisiana Tech in areas that are important to rural communities. These include: education, nutrition, technology, small business development, community design and planning, agriculture and forestry, folklife and the arts. The Center helps rural community leaders access the data, research, and technical assistance that is available at the University.
Waggonner Center for Civic Engagement and Public Policy
The Waggonner Center seeks to foster and promote active and responsible civic engagement through an interdisciplinary combination of innovative curricular initiatives, academic research, and community outreach.
Sports Movement and Performance Center
The Sports and Performance Center utilizes kinesiology and biomechanics science to improve sports performance, fitness, strength and conditioning, sports, and occupational capabilities.
Applied Research for Organizational Solutions
AROS assists organizations in managing and enhancing their human capital. AROS has executed projects for global, regional, and local organizations across multiple industries. With dual core competencies in applied psychology and research methods, AROS can assist organizations with complex issues, such as:
