Incorporating a Balloon Physics Course in the Integrated Science Curriculum at Louisiana Tech

Description :  This project incorporates the balloon physics course, under development at LSU, in the Integrated Science Curriculum at Louisiana Tech. Three, one-semester credit hour courses will be offered to freshmen science majors (and will be required for freshmen physics majors), during which the syllabus of the balloon physics course will be covered. During the third course, the students will be primarily concerned with developing a balloon payload for launch at the end of the spring quarter. Two senior physics majors will be employed to mentor the freshmen students as they develop the balloon payloads.
