Technician Support for Micro/Nano Laboratory and Degree Program
Description : A professional-track Masters of Science in Micro Systems Engineering degree and a new Bachelor of Science in Nanosystems Engineering degree will be supported by the College of Engineering and Science’s (COES) newly-developed micro/nanofabrication laboratory. The equipment and supplies for this laboratory are funded through a student technology fee grant for $150,000, which was matched by $25,000 from the COES and $25,000 from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technology (CEnIT) at Louisiana Tech University. Additionally, the project investigators have recently received notification from NSF that they will receive funding for a grant to provide additional equipment and faculty salaries for course development related to the Nanosystem Engineering degree program. Funds from NLPI are being sought to supplement these equipment and supplies grants by providing laboratory technician support of this new lab.
