(Darrian) Nanomanufactured Graphene Based Composites for Space/Aerospace

Description :  We currently live in an age in which the disablement of our electronic systems has become one of the biggest potential threats to our security and well-being. The goal of this project is to produce graphene for the purpose of BMP shielding for aircraft and spacecraft. The aforementioned graphene will be produced from carbon rods via electrolytic exfoliation, and will then be subjected to various tests in order to determine its conductivity, strength, and shielding-effectiveness; this will allow us to evaluate if this material does indeed provide us with a practical and better replacement for aluminum. This project will prove to be an excellent learning experience in an area with significant practical applications, and will aid in both my professional and educational development.
