Calibration System for Ultrasonic Probes
The objective of this project is to develop a simple system to test the Vascular Technology Incorporated (VTI) probes as they are assembled. The proposed method is to drive the probe with the VTI electronics, pass the acoustic signal through a solid core, and receive that signal with another transducer at the opposite end. The second transducer will convert the acoustic signal (pulsed 9 MHz) to a voltage, and a detector will determine the amplitude of that signal.
