STEAM Power

Description :  

The objective of the investigators of this project is to increase high school student engagement and achievement in science. This may be accomplished through an innovative learning environment and an Engineering Design based curriculum known as STEAM Power, which is also aligned to national standards. The content focus of STEAM Power is high school science and the integration of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), specifically Science and Engineering Practices, Engineering Design, and Cross Cutting Concepts. With the participation of teachers and school leaders from local and regional high schools, educators will be trained in three professional development phases designed to assist in implementing principles of the STEAM Power program in their respective curricula.
