Recruitment of Superior Graduate Students for the Doctor of Business Administration Program in the Major Areas of Finance and Marketing
Description : The recruitment of superior doctoral candidates is the goal of this project. Through four fellowships including stipends of $15,000 per year for a maximum of four years, and full tuition and fee waivers, the College of Administration and Business seeks to elevate the performance levels of the finance and marketing areas. The benefits the College of Administration and Business provide to the University and the state will increase as a result of this project. Faculty and students in the College of Administration and Business engage in a variety of service activities which are of direct benefit to the economic enhancement of Louisiana. For example, business faculty and graduate students counsel approximately 100 business firms each year through the Small Business Development Center Program. A few of the specific service projects currently provided by the faculty include the National Collision Marketing Institute, the Center for Real Estate Studies, and dissemination of demographic and economic information such as the annual estimation of gross state product for Louisiana.
