Electrokinetic Abrasion Resistance Enhancement in Concrete

Description :  

The investigators of this research aim to evaluate the effectiveness of nanoparticle liquid treatments designed to reduce porosity in Wellerite. Recent studies show a dramatic decrease in the porosity of Wellerite after pozzolanic nanoparticle treatments, which may promote increased concrete strength. Evaluations of this method will be conducted in three large panels of Wellerite, with a titanium alloy mesh serving as an electrode, and wiring providing treatment delivery to a pool of the nanoparticle liquid in each panel. After treatment, the investigators will conduct porosity tests in harvested samples to determine the effectiveness of this concrete treatment method.
