Open-Source Problems for Engineering Studies (OPES): Making the WeB Work

Description :

Due to a shortage of online resources available to engineering students, the investigators of this project seek to provide a repository of homework problems applicable to Statistics and Mechanics of Materials, Electrical Engineering and Circuits, and Thermodynamics. The Open-source Problems for Engineering Studies (OPES): Making the WeB Work project may meet this objective through collaborations between Louisiana Tech and Bossier Parish Community College in piloting the homework database. The effects of online homework in engineering have only been explored to a limited degree by the engineering community. Therefore, the OPES project will also include a research component to study the effect of online engineering homework on student learning. All materials created in this database will be made available online for free public utilization.
