Insider threats are a major challenge to information security, and are often not detected until information is transferred to parties outside the Local Area Network (LAN). The researchers of this project aim to secure areas vulnerable to insider threats with a mechanism capable of tracking and controlling information in a LAN. Based on the biological process of pollination, this system could prevent insider threats before information is compromised. The objectives of the researchers include finalizing optimal pollination methods, building a network testbed for support and ultimately developing a prototype for use in the network bed.
