Research and Education Cyberinfrastructure Investments to Develop The Coastal Hazards Collaborator in the Northern Gulf Coast

Description :

This project seeks to establish a multi-institutional, interdisciplinary research team aimed at analyzing coastal ecosystem dynamics. Utilizing computational facilities (e.g. TTPC and LONI), Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University propose to develop macro-scaled numerical models of coastal environmental interactions, referred to as Simulocean. Through this collaboration and model development, vital data should be produced and will be analyzed in relation to the efforts of the Northern Gulf Coastal Hazard Collaboratory (NG-CHC).
