Center for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology in AMRI at the University of New Orleans
Description : This team of investigators will pursue the reallization of nanomaterials for energ conversion and storage applications. They will apply the fundametal science of nanometer-scale materials and engineering architectures in the realization of the nanomaterials of interest. This objective is to design and engineer: 1) Highly efficient thermoelectric materials that could be used in microdevices or to dirrectly replace existion thermoelectric materials. 2) Ferroic composites that result in low energy consumption and produce usable power for microdevices.
