Design and Development of Computational Techniques for Hyperspectral Image Mining

Description :       Hyperspectral Imaging offers a powerful, non-invasive tool for the diagnosis and planning of retinal vascular disorders such as Diabetic Retinopathy.  The proposed project is a logical extension of the LBRN summer research project, "Design and Development of a Design Tool for Enhanced Fluorescein Angiography and Ophthalmology", by expanding upon the developed computational framework to an enabled clinical decision support design employing hyperspectral image modalities.  The work will design a novel computational decision support tool for multidisciplinary research in hyperspectral imaging in Ophthalmology and consequently, Bioinformatics in support of the Biocomputing core of Louisiana Biomedical Research Network.
