An Efficient Method for simulating Diffusion Inside Nanotudes for Drug Delivery Systems

Description :      A novel drug delivery system has been developed using nano-tubules for encapsulation of biologically active macro-molecules and drug particles.  This proposal will take into account the combined effects of surface effects, geometry constraints, and Brownian motion, and develop a nanoscale fluid-particle interactions model inside confined space.  The proposed research will have positive impact on both devloping drug delivery systems and medicine micromanufacturing, which are of interest to the National Science Foundation.
