Description:  The Research Division was organized in the Spring of 1948 and is a member of the Association for University Business and Economic Research (AUBER). All faculty members in the College of Administration and Business are staff members of the Research Division. The purposes of the Division are: To encourage and promote research by faculty members in the various fields in the College of Administration and Business; To render technical assistance to faculty members and graduate students, particularly doctoral students; To conduct research and assist in securing funds for research projects; To publish monographs and bulletins where it is deemed they will be of practical use to business and professional people; To plan and promote conferences and seminars conducted in the College of Administration and Business and publish the proceedings; To promote and conduct research on the Louisiana economy, including the preparation of economic and population data series.
