Description:  The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Leadership offers a variety of career options for those interested in teaching. Certification pathways include PK-3rd grades, 1-5th grades, middle school grades 4-8, and secondary grades 6-12. Our faculty is nationally known for publications, research, presentations, and exemplifying best practices in teaching and learning. All teacher education programs have been approved by the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Board of Regents, and our national accreditation organization, NCATE. Our faculty takes an interest in knowing his or her advisees and in providing quality counseling as needed for all teacher education candidates.
